The minimum eligibility qualification for admission to Ph.D. programmes of the University shall be an OCPA/ OGPA of 7.000/10.000 or 70% marks in aggregate in the Master’s degree and OCPA/OGPA of 6.000/10.000 or 60% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute/college/university established by law in India. The eligible Master’s and Bachelor’s degree for admission to specific Ph.D. programme are given against respective discipline in the table below.
Note:
(i). Students may have to clear deficiency courses as suggested by the student's advisory committee.
(ii). Minimum residential requirement for student being admitted to Ph.D. programme with 3 years UG degree and 2 years PG Masters Programme will be minimum of 3½year as they have to clear all the approved credits towards deficiency courses required for the award of Doctoral degree.
Note:
(i) The in-service candidate will be considered for admission only if his/her application is duly forwarded through proper channel by the Head/sanctioning authority after certifying that during the study period his/her lien will be retained and on completion of studies, the candidate will join back on the said post.
(ii) The preference for admission under in-service category will be given to the candidates working with Government/Semi- Government organizations of Punjab/ UT of Chandigarh followed by Affiliated colleges of GADVASU and other State candidates on case-to-case basis.
