Dr Harpreet S Kochhar, chief veterinary officer Canada of Canadian Food Inspections Agency Ottawa, Canada visited Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. An alumnus of College of veterinary science, delivered a talk “From college of vety. Science to ontario veterinary college to chief veterinary officers,- Veterinarian’s journey & captured opportunities.” in the silver jubilee block auditorium of GADVASU, Ludhiana. The lecture received overwhelming response form the faculty staff and students. Dr AS Nanda, Vice Chancellor was also attended the function to listen the encouraging success story
Dr. Kochhar described number of opportunities for present time veterinarians. He explained how his dream was fulfilled to serve overseas through sheer hard work, sincerity and small but positive and dedicated steps. Timely and right moves pave the way for him to the highest post for a veterinarian in Canada. He owe it to the excellent quality of education at College of veterinary science with an energetic and helpful team of academicians. It is worth to mention here that Dr kochhar did his graduation & post graduation from PAU & PhD from Canada.
The students were very enthusiastic about his lecture & listened patiently to his impressive presentation that how he converted the challenges into opportunities and work with sincerely. A team leader of more than 4000 Inspectors working under his guidance, he mesmerized the audience through his humbleness and repaying the gratitude to society through educating the younger vets. While revealing is duty towards society he told that we are helping the people and working for the cause of society through good, wholesome & quality food by taking stringent measures.
Dr AS Nanda said that such type of persons is live example of good education, refined teachers and dedicated professionals. He said that Dr Kochhar is an ambassador of global oneness of the era. The session was coordinated by Dr Simrat Sagar Singh, Dean Post Graduate studies. On behalf of varsity, he thanked Dr Kochhar for delivering such a live talk.
