The College of Veterinary Science of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Oath Taking Ceremony of 51 passing out veterinarians of 2009 batch. Out of 51 passing out students, 14 were girls.
Dr H S Sandhu, Dean College of Veterinary Science was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr P S Mavi, Professor & Head, Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, and shared the achievements of students who brought laurels to the University in the field of academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities. Dr H S Sandhu administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates. Highlighting the importance of dumb creatures, he appealed the students to be kind and passionate for the profession and exhorted the students to work hard as this is the beginning of their professional life. He also urged them to serve the society especially in the rural sector.
Dr P S Mavi proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr S P S Sangha, Director Student’s Welfare cum Estate Officer, Dr Sushil Prabhakar, Controller of Examination, heads of various departments and a large number of faculty members also attended the function. On the occasion an orientation programme was also organized by Intas Animal Health pharmaceutical company.
