Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET-GADVASU) on 19th June. The first phase of admission to various undergraduate programmes for the year 2014-15 has been completed. The last date for receipt of applications was May 13, 2014. Owing to the popularity of courses in Veterinary, Dairy and Fisheries in rural and urban population, an enormous rush in the number of applicants have been observed this year also. Out of these three courses, Veterinary degree course is the most sought after course. GADVASU Registrar, Dr. P.D. Juyal informed that a total of 2523 candidates with medical background would compete for admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H. and B.F.Sc. programmes for 60 and 18 seats respectively; and a total of 265 candidates with non-medical background would compete for admission to B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) for 25 seats. The first counsellings for Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry/Bachelor of Fisheries Science and B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) are scheduled to be held on July 22 and 23 respectively.
