Different shades of social, Political and emotional issues were contribution of today’s events in Vet .Varsity Youth Festival. The day was of Mimicry, and One Act Plays. In the Morning session Shabad Gayan/Bhajan and western songs were performed. Evening session was reserved for theatrical events. Whereas one act plays showcased the miserable conditions of women’s life they also highlighted the cross border tension. Pali Bhupinder’s written play ‘Mitti da Bawa’ addressed the issue of cross border tension and woes of soldiers of both the countries. Play ‘Kudedaan di jaiee’ written by Jatinder Brar highlighted the issue of unwanted girl child.Spectators witnessed mental trauma and social taboos of the victim. Play ‘Kanak di Balli’ written by Balwant Gargi revealed the problem of suppressed female community in peasantry. Time has changed but female field labour is still exploited by capitalist. The agony of women’s still alive in the modern era. Play ‘Sahiban’ written by Joginder Bahrla narrated the dilemma of Sahiban to choose between his brothers and beloved. It shared the miseries of his decision. Sagar Kumar’s Play ‘Kathputli’ also conveyed the grief of abandoned girl child. The broken dreams and a puppet like life. Play ‘Izzat ke Naam Par’written by Kudrat Pal depicted the life of a victim of gang rape in Pakistan. The social trauma and her fight against the society for the betterment of women’s. The venue of these events was open air theater PAU.
