Dr. Mandeep Singh Bal, Assistant Scientist, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana attended 24th International Conference of World Association of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP-2013) held at Perth, Western Australia. Dr. Bal presented his research work on “Polymerase chain reaction vis-a-vis parasitological techniques for diagnosis of Trypanosoma evansi infection in bovine” as oral poster presentation. Such molecular methods are more helpful in diagnosis for better management of the haemoprotozoa. Interaction with the scientists from around the globe will be highly helpful in the research field of the scientists for providing better guidance to his students and for better diagnosis and management of parasitic infection. Dr. Bal was granted International travel grant from department of science and technology (DST), Government of India and from GADVASU for attending the conference. The work was appreciated by various delegates from different countries. More than 500 delegates from different countries including USA, Canada, Australia, U K, Japan, Brazil, South Afrika, France, Saudi Arabia attended the conference. Four Scientists from India presented the work of their respective fields during the conference.
