Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Registrar, Dr. P.D. Juyal informed that the admissions to different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary, fisheries and dairy technology are available for the academic session 2013-14. The admissions to undergraduate programmes are made on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET), going to be held on 26th June this year. Owing to the popularity of these courses in rural and urban population, as observed in previous years, the number of applicants may likely to increase this year. The prospectus containing detailed information of admission capacity, counseling/interview and reservation of seats etc. along with application forms is available from 15th April onwards from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on all working days from the office of Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana. The last date to apply for admission to undergraduate is 10th May however, with late fee the application forms can be submitted by 17th May and for postgraduate programmes it is 28th June, however, with late fee the application forms can be submitted by 5th July. The eligibility for admission to undergraduate programmes in veterinary and fisheries is 10+2 with medical stream with chemistry and English from a recognized Board/University, while for dairy technology programme the eligibility is 10+2 with non-medical stream having chemistry and English .The admission to Master’s programme in veterinary, fisheries, dairy technology and animal biotechnology is based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
