Vet. Varsity Youth festival procession exhibited novel pageant

Not only fun and recreation but serious issues of society are also primary concerns of today’s youth. The spirit was reflected in the ongoing youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University. The day was of formal inauguration of Song, Dance and Theatrical events. Dr. V. K. Taneja Vice Chancellor GADVASU inaugurated the fest at open air theatre of PAU. Dr. Taneja said that these movements will remain long lasting and cherished memories of youth. We must enjoy this time to recollect in our old age.
Prior to inauguration ceremony, three in campus colleges of vet varsity along with School of Animal Biotechnology, Vety Polytechnic Kaljharani, Khalsa College of Veterinary& Animal Sciences, Amritsar exhibited beautiful and meaningful pageant in their procession. The procession was started from college of Veterinary Science and it showcased the social issues of Child labour, Price Inflation, Female Feticide, Corruption, Water Saving, Dowry and unity in diversity.
Beautifully choreographed these scenes whereas depicted social concerns of existing era as well as expressed the high level of awareness and vision of students. The dedication towards responsibility was apparent from their acts. Dr. Satinder Pal Singh Sangha, DSW and Convener of youth festival said that students are very excited for participation in youth festival. It is valuable time which shows them multy dimension of life through art, culture and literature. In today’s event all the three colleges at campus along with School of Animal Biotechnology, Vety. Polytechnic college Kaljharani, Khalsa College of Veterinary& Animal Sciences, Amritsar particapted.

Dr. P. N. Dwivedi, President, University Dance Drama and Music Club said that tomorrow’s events in the morning session will be Quiz Competition, Installation and afternoon session of Mime, Mimicry, One Act Play and Mono Acting. The venue will remain same, open air theatre PAU.
