Similarly package of practices for management of different categories of livestock are lacking. This symposium will be conducted in six sessions i.e. I-Animal Behaviour, Welfare and Breeding Management, II- Housing Management, III-Feeding and General Management, IV-Reproduction and Health Management, V-Product Harvesting, Marketing and Livestock Economics and VI-Plenary and concluding session. There will be two highlights of the symposium viz.  It is being organized to celebrate World Veterinary Year-2011, as Veterinary Science has completed 250 years of service to the animal health care and two sessions are exclusively dedicated to this celebration.  Secondly, session on scientist-farmer interaction will be the star attraction as the farmers will be able to interact with scientists from entire India on Animal Production issues.
