Directorate of Extension Education of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), organized Two Days Training-cum-Exposure visit 
program for 20 Head Constable Veterinary Trainees of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) came from Palampur (H.P.).
Dr. H.K. Verma, Director Extension Education, interacted with the SSB trainees and explained the various services & facilities provided by the University for the benefit of the end users and further he stressed upon the extension approaches, innovative livestock technologies and publications by the GADVASU. He highlighted the achievements of Varsity and various technologies released by the University for doubling the Farmer’s Income Level.>
During training program trainees visited the different departments viz: Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Veterinary Gynecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Information & Communication Center, Livestock Farm and Poultry Farm. They have learned practically as well as theoretically about the anatomical structure of different breeds of animals, breeds & their characteristics, housing management, reproductive management, nutritional management, breeding, health, economics, record keeping, milking machine, bio gas plant, different physiological parameters, different diseases & their management, gynecological disorders & their management. Facilities & services provided by the veterinary hospital, ultasonography unit, computerized radiography unit, equine & bovine operation theater unit and veterinary lab diagnosis laboratory were also demonstrated and explained where they have interacted the different experts of concerned discipline and clarify their quarries.
Feedback session was also organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, in which feedback from the participants were taken for further betterment of the such type of program . The officials accompanied with the team of SSB trainees appreciated and thanked the team of scientists of GADVASU involved in organizing successfully the training-cum-exposure visit program. Dr. Y.S. Jadoun Coordinated the training programme as well as the visit of SSB trainees.
