The whole staff (Teaching and non-teaching staff) of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran has actively participated during the celebration of Seva Divas on September 17, 2017. 
The swachhta banner depicting "Seva Divas" was displayed both at interior and exterior locations of the KVK in order to make the visitors aware about the significance of this important day. The event was started up with the singing of "National Anthem". After this ceremony, Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director (Training) led the team by 
emphasizing the staff members for cleaning and sweeping of each and every corner of the KVK premises. All the employees coordinated well by extending their selfless co-operation to each other while the implementation of "Shramdaan". Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor (Livestock Production) and Piverjeet Kaur Dhillon, Assistant Professor (Home Science) lead the other staff during cleaning and maintenance of Soil & Water Testing Laboratory and Home Science Laboratory as well. Further, Mr. Nirmal Singh Assistant Professor (Horticulture) extended his efforts in planning of planting trees at different sites of the front and side yards of the institution. All the staff members contributed towards this important session (plantation of trees viz. neem, hedges etc.) of the activity. All the employees weeded out the unnecessary vegetation from every part of the lawn followed by cleaning up of the floor of front yard. Dr. Kumar guided the faculty and other staff for timely maintenance of the KVK assets. All the staff lauded the central govt. scheme for their initiative of preserving the glory of the nation by making the country clean and green.
