Dr. Harpal Singh Sandhu, former Dean, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana passed away on the night of 16, Nov.2016, Wednesday. Born in 1959 at Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) he did his B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc. and Ph.D from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. His field of specialization was Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology. An academician par excellence, he served about 32 years in teaching, research and extension. Dr Sandhu also served as Head, Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. He was decorated with several National Awards. He was an excellent teacher and his book on Pharmacology is the most popular and liked book by the students of veterinary profession. Veterinary fraternity of the north India is under totally shock due to untimely demise of Dr. Sandhu. A condolence meeting was organized at university campus to give support to the bereaved family. A large number of faculty members, employees and students attended the meeting.
