One act plays on different issues of life were showcased in the ongoing youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. Evening session was reserved for theatrical events. Whereas one act plays showcased the miserable conditions of the abandoned girl child they also highlighted different miseries of life. Play ‘Chand Jadon Roti Lagda Hai’ highlighted the link of poverty & hunger. Play was written by, Prince Kawwaljit Singh. Play ‘Kudedaan di jaiee’ written by Jatinder Brar highlighted the issue of unwanted girl child. Spectators witnessed mental trauma and social taboos of the victim. Play ‘Zindagi’ Written by Jagdev Dhillon is on the miseries of life of an eunuch. It’s on clash of real parents of eunuch and outside community of eunuchs. Play ‘Tamasha’ written by Dr. Mohd. Rafi also highlighted the problems of daily earner’s. The toughness of life was showcased in the play. Play ‘Ishaqbajh Namaz Da Haj Nahin’ was written by Professor Ajmer Aulakh play was based on the dilemma of principals and practical behavior inherited present society constraints on inter cast marriage was highlighted. The venue of these events was open air theater PAU.
