Dhiraj Kumar working as Junior Library Assistant in Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University participated in the 3rd National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Libraries” organized by Chandigarh Librarians’ Association at Dev Samaj College for Women, Chandigarh. He presented a poster on “WhatsApp: Giving a Momentum to Fourth Law of Library Science” at the conference. In his poster he presented how the advancements in technology like WhatsApp can benefit the users. He outlined the ways to disseminate information to the users of the library in no time without any financial implication in an eco-friendly way. His poster was appreciated by all the members of the conference and he was conferred with the “Best Poster Award”. In addition Dhiraj Kumar also presented a paper on “Quality of Library and Information Science Journals”.
Dr. R.S. Brar, Professor cum University Librarian congratulated Dhiraj Kumar. Dr. A.S. Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of varsity stressed upon the use of digital technology to empower the livestock farmers with up-to-date information and the need of strengthening of university library with modern gadgets.
