To teach the skills of different folk dances, a one month long training camp was organised from 15th of September 2015 at college of veterinary science of Guru Angad Dev veterinary and animal Sciences University. The information was shared by Dr.Darshan Singh Barri, welfare officer of varsity. He said that camp was inaugurated by Dr Naresh Kumar Sood, President Dance, Drama and Music club of Varsity. About 30 participants from both the university and walkers join the camp. He said that camp will be open for teachers, students of both the varsities and walkers at varsity who have valid walking entry passes. The timings of the camp will be 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. A person might attend both the session in Single fee. He said that, coach and drummer will be available for trainees. To meet the expenses of musician’s nominal fee will be charged he added. Dr Barri said that camp was started with persuasion from Dr Amarjit Singh Nanda, Vice-Chancellor. Dr Satinder Pal Singh Sangha, DSW cum EO and Dr Sarnarinder Singh Randhawa, Director Research appreciated the efforts. Dr Barri said that the interested persons may register their name at welfare officer or join directly with their identity proof.
