Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University is doing extensive efforts to reach the far off farmers of the state to provide them scientific inputs and knowhow. These views were expressed by Dr Harish Kumar Verma, Director of Extension Education of Varsity while elaborating the extension delivery system of institute. He said that in this context university organized a one day Pashu Bhalai Diwas at Regional Research & Training Centre, Talwara. He said that farmers of village, Passi Karoran and Ghagwal attended the camp. A large number of farm women also attended the programme. Experts of university Dr Jugal Kishore Uppal, Dr Rakesh Sharma and Dr Gagandeep delivered expert lecture on different issues of livestock. Mineral Mixture and Uromin lick was distributed to 68 scheduled cast farmers for better health management of livestock. Technical literature of varsity was also provided to farmers free of cost. Dr Verma told that we are organizing these types of Pashu Bhalai Diwas and Kisan Sammelans on regular basis at different Regional Research & Training Centre and Krishi Vigyan Kendras of university.
