In the general body meeting of the Indian Society of Animal Production & Management it was unanimously decided that the Head quarter will shift from Hyderabad to Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana w.e.f. September, 2015. Dr. A.L. Saini Professor-cum-Head, Department of 
Livestock Production Management was designated as next president of the society. Posting of the Head quarter of the society and President of the Central Executive Committee is a big honour for the GADVASU. Dr. Saini has also been asked to nominate the general secretary and treasurer to run the society smoothly and efficiently. It was decided at XXII Annual Convention of Indian Society of Animal Production and Management & National Symposium. Symposium was on “Livestock Production Practices for Small Farms of Marginalized Groups and Communities in India” which was organized by Department of Livestock Production Management, College of Veterinary Science and Animal, Husbandry, Central Agricultural University, Selesih, Aizawl, Mizoram.
Dr. A.L. Saini, presented a lead paper on “Economical and comfortable animal housing for increased productivity” Dr. R.K. Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension, was co-author in this lead paper. Dr. Saini was also the chairperson of technical session on Health, Reproduction and Diagnostic support to small and marginal farmers. He also acted as rappoteur in plenary session. Dr. Mandeep Singla of the department along with co-authors A.L.Saini, Chandrahas, N. D. Singh, P. Kaur and A. Sharma presented a paper on “Effect of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) supplementation on the performance of Beetal kid under stall-fed conditions”. Two more papers were presented by the ex- students of the department Dr. Sahoo and Dr. A.K. Sharma. Dr. A. K. Sharma and his team received best poster presentation award.
