Week long inter-college youth Festival of Vet. Varstiy concluded with a note of gaiety. Dr G S Wander, Chief Cardiologist, Hero Heart DMC was Chief Guest on this occasion whereas Dr. V. K. Taneja Presided over the Function. Youth Festival was started on 04th November. onward under the able guidance of Dr. Satinder Pal Singh Sangha DSW Cum EO of GADVASU. Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, Dr Kulbir Singh Sandhu, member PPSC and Dr Baljeet Singh Gill Associate Dean, University of Saskatchewan were guest of honour.
Dr. Darshan Singh Barhi organizing secretary said that there was competition of about 30 events.about 200 students participated in this youth festival. Three in Campus Colleges, College of Fisheries, College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology Participated alongwith School of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Polytechnic College Kaljharani, Bathinda, and Khalsa Coillege of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students pageant their art in different fields like Fine Arts, Theatre, Singing, Dances and Literary events. Singer Diljan a winner of ‘Surkshetra’ performed a number of hits and enthralled the audience.
Dr Naresh Kumar Sood, President, Dance, Drama and Music Club said that a number of important dignitaries attended the function. Students of Both the universities were in cheerful mood to attend the function. Teachers, employees and officers of GADVASU were present in good number for ceremonial treat.
