Youth expressed power of words in Vet. Varsity Youth festival

November 6 Expiring at: May 10

Students expressed their feelings and expressions through different genres of literature in the shape of poetry and spoken words. Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Debate, Elocution, Extempore, Creative writing, Poetic Recitation and satiric pieces of Haas-Ras poetry.

Dr. Darshan Singh Barhi organizing secretary of festival said that in morning session Debate. Elocution, Extempore, Creative writing competitions were held. In the afternoon session there were competitions of Poetic Recitation and Haas-Ras poetry. Students expressed their thoughts through poetry on current and important issues. Results of these competitions were as under:Topic for Debate was ‘Modern Communication modes have enhanced our social communication’ the result of this competition was:

3. College of Fisheries

Judges of Fine Arts events were S Jagtar Singh Manuke Renowned Sculpturist, Prof. Tarwinder Kaur HOD Fine Arts, Ramgarhira Girsl College, Prof. Parveen Kumar HOD Fine Arts GCG Ludhiana and Dr Harmeet Singh Guru Nanak Engineering College Ludhiana.
Dr. Satinder Pal Singh Sangha, Director Student Welfare said that Youth Festival will enter in the more colourful and Musical phase as main stage items will be on floor from 7th November. He said that Dr V K Taneja will inaugurate youth festival with cultural procession by different colleges in the Open Air Theatre of PAU on 07.11.2014.

In all the competitions three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated alongwith affiliated college Khalsa College of Veterniary and Animal Sciences Amritsar. Dr. N K Sood, President, Dance Drama and Music Club said that on 07-November-2014 there will be competitions of Procession, Folk song, Creative Dance, Light Vocal and Group Songs at Open Air Theatre of Punjab Agricultural University.
