The MOU between Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) and University of Saskatchewan(CANADA) and Free University Berlin (GERMANY) became more fruitful when Pallvi attended summer school at University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr Ramneek, Director, School of Animal Biotechnology said that she bagged award for best poster presentation during the Summer School for the research poster. The Poster revealed Health effects in lungs of poultry workers on single and multiple exposures to poultry barn air by applying mice as model. It was authored by Pallvi, R S Sethi, and co-authors. Pallvi is presently pursuing her Ph.D. programme at School of Animal Biotechnology, GADVASU and had been selected for CREATE ITraP – (International Training Program in Infectious diseases, Food safety and Public Policy) funded by Canadian Natural Science and Engineering Research Council, Canada. Pallvi also attended two months externship program in the Lab of Dr. Volker Gertdz, Associate Director, VIDO - Intervac (Vaccine for Infectious Disease Organization), University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Baljeet Singh, Associate Dean (Research), Western college of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada and Dr J.P.S Gill, Director, School of Public Health and Zoonoses, GADVASU played an instrumental role in the organization of the Summer School. He elaborated that ITraP is part of global One Health initiative which aims to create collaborations between people from many health and environmental disciplines and one of its focus is training of students in the field of infectious diseases, food safety and public policy.
