Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) conducted its first counselling for filling 72 seats of 2-year Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology on August 26 for the session 2014-15 and a total of 71 seats were filled up. Owing to the popularity of this course in rural population, an enormous rush in the number of applicants have been observed this year also GADVASU Registrar, Dr. P.D. Juyal informed that to meet the man power requirement in the field of para-veterinary, this university started Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology in 2010 at Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani (Bathinda). A total of 654 candidates were called for counselling on merit of marks secured in 10+2. Second/final counselling of the said programme, to fill the vacant seat or seats vacated by the students admitted during 1st counselling, is scheduled to be conducted on 29.09.2014 as per prospectus. Final status of category-wise vacant seats, if any, will be available on 26.09.2014 on the university website www.gadvasu.in.
