1 Punjab R&V SQN NCC GADVASU Celebrated NCC week with fervor and enthusiasm .A number of activities were organized to motivate the youth in service of the nation. The various activities undertaken were Slogan Writing competition, Painting competition, Declamation contest, Rally against social evils and Run for Fun. Students of College of Veterinary Sciences, GADVASU, Ludhiana participated in the declamation contest with zeal and shared their views regarding ways to tackle the prevalent problems of the society. They expressed their concern for a change in mindset of the society for a better and prosperous future. In the Painting competition, cadets artistically painted their concerns about social evils on canvas. A rally was organized to awaken and motivate general public by various posters depicting themes of social renaissance. These activities were concluded with Run for Fun followed by a Horse Show by Cadet Navgeet and Cadet Daud of Sqn.
Lt Col Ashwini Goel, Officer Commanding, 1 Pb R&V Sqn NCC, while addressing the cadets on concluding function emphasized on the role of the youth in making significant positive changes in the society through such activities in NCC. Dr Mandeep Singla and Dr ND Singh, Care Taker Officers (CTO) of the unit and the unit staff were instrumental in organizing the week-long event.
