A tree plantation drive was undertaken at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana by the cadets of 1 Punjab R&V Sqn NCC, Ludhiana on. During this drive, trees were planted with a theme “ONE CADET ONE TREE”. Under this theme, each cadet was allotted one tree to plant. The tree was also named after the name of cadet who planted it with an aim to motivate the youth to take case of the trees after their plantation. Lt Col Ashwini Goel, Commanding Officer of the unit motivated the cadets and discussed the importance of tree implantation in this era of fast spreading urbanization.
Dr Mandeep Singla and Dr Nitin Dev Singh (Care Taker Officer) along with PI staff of the unit were also present on the occasion.
