GADVASU administered the oath taking ceremony of graduates

The Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Oath Taking Ceremony of 48 passing out veterinary graduates of 2008 batch, including 17 girls.

Dr V K Taneja, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr P.S. Mavi, Professor & Head, Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Dr H S Sandhu, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates. He also shared the achievements of students who brought laurels to the University in the field of academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities. He further advised to the young veterinarians to follow the ethics of profession and to serve the mute creatures of the nature with all passion and empathy. Speaking on the occasion, Dr V K Taneja wished all the success in the future endeavors of the students. He advised the students to keep in touch with the University so that they can learn about the recent developments in the profession for upliftment of their knowledge and professional skill. He highlighted the available placement opportunities for the veterinarians like Govt. jobs, private practice, pharmaceuticals, banks, defense services and research organizations. Dr. Taneja also highlighted the importance of higher education and the need of specialization keeping in view the recent developments in science.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. P. D. Juyal, Registrar of the University congratulated the students and their parents for successfully completing the 5 years degree program.

Arunbeer Singh the class representative of the batch shared his past experiences and views on the behalf of the students.

Dr S P S Sangha, Director Students Welfare cum Estate Officer, Dr. Sushil Prabhakar, Controller of Examination, heads of various departments and a large number of faculty members also attended the function. At the last, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, proposed the vote of thanks.
