Seven students of College of Dairy Science and Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary And Animal Sciences University qualified the All India Entrance Examination for Admission in Post- graduation programme, 2013 (AIEEA- PG- 2013) in Dairy Technology discipline. AIEEE-PG-2013 was conducted by ICAR on 21st April, 2013 for admission to master’s programme in various disciplines of Agricultural and Veterinary universities. Venus Bansal, Anurag Singla, Pritpal Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Akashdeep Singh Benipal, Rishi kumar Puri and Gurbir Singh are the students of B.Tech Dairy Technology Programme (2009-13 batch) who brought laurels to the college and university with their hard work and dedication. Among them Venus Bansal secured 3rd rank and received Junior Research Fellowship for Master’s Degree in Dairy Technology discipline. Dr. V. K. Taneja, Vice- Chancellor, GADVASU, Dr. S.P.S Sangha, Dean, College of Dairy science and Technology and other dignitaries congratulated the students and conveyed their best wishes to students for their endeavour. Students were elated at their achievement and were sure to make it to prestigious Dairy Science colleges in India. It is pertinent to mention that College of Dairy Science and Technology was established in the year 2008. The College is running two courses B. Tech (Dairy Technology) and M. Tech (Dairy Technology) programmes. With more than 400 dairy plants in the country, dairy technology is a challenging career that offers plenty of job prospects for trained professionals. Besides going for post graduation, Dairy technologists can be placed in dairy cooperatives, milk product processing and manufacturing industries etc.
