Dr Sanjeev Kumar Uppal, Professor (Medicine), Department of Veterinary Clinical Services Complex, GADVASU has been awarded the prestigious “Dr DC Blood Gold Medal” for his outstanding achievements and contributions in teaching, research, extension, and clinical services in the field of Veterinary Medicine at recently held International Summit on Advancing Veterinary Medical Care: Challenges and Strategies” and 27th Convention and Satellite Seminars on Veterinary Internal Medicine by Indian Society for Veterinary Medicine, held at Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai from 19-21 February, 2009.
Dr Uppal did his PhD under Sandwich Programme of German Academic Exchange Service Scheme (DAAD Fellowship) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and Free University Berlin. Dr Uppal has also been awarded Commonwealth Post Doctorate Fellowship of UK. He has been bestowed with the Fellowship of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences of India. He has published more than 40 research articles in international and national journals of repute. He has successfully guided four MVSc students in the field of Veterinary Medicines
