Since 2006, the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University commonly known as GADVASU, started hard work for the improvement of livestock of Punjab farmers.
It is pertinent to mention that GADVASU has proven its presence not only in the field of academic but also in co-curricular activities. During All India Inter Agricultural Universities Youth Festival held at
Ms Taranjot Kaur and Ms Arashdeep Kaur won the Fine Arts Trophy by winning the Gold Medal in Collage Making and Rangoli respectively. The crowd of Bangalore can never forget Bhangra performed by Punjab veterinarians. Ravi Singla, Ankush Goyal, Ajaypal Singh, Jaspreet Kaur and Parvinder Sidhu introduced the new concepts in the Theatre and won Silver Medal and Mime.
Dr Charan Kamal Singh, Prof Vety Pathology and Dr Simranpreet Kaur, District Extension Specialist led the GADVASU contingent as team Managers.
