Krishi Vigyan Kendra Handiaya (Barnala) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana, organized Sankalp Se Sidhi Programme. 
Sh. Gurmeet Sing Meet Hayer, MLA Barnala was Chief guest, Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI,Zone-1, Ludhiana and Dr. H.K.Verma Director, Extension Education, GADVASU, Ludhiana was Special guest on this occasion. The programme was inaugurated by Chief guest and he addressed the farmers and said that such type programme is beneficial 
for the farmers to make aware them about new technologies in field of agriculture and allied sectors. He also said that farmers should adopt the technologies given by KVK, Barnala and told that farmers should reduce their excess expenditure on unnecessary things. Dr. Rajbir Singh said that scientist and farmers jointly efforts are needed for doubling the income of farmers up to the year 2022. He awared the farmers for not burning the paddy straw in coming season and appreciated the work performed by KVK , Barnala. Dr. H.K. Verma, explained the activities conducted by the GADVASU, Ludhiana for the farming community of Punjab. He solemnized pledge to all the participants to create new India free from all the evils. Dr. P.S.Tanwar, Associate Director, KVK, Barnala welcomed all the participants and put a brief note on activities conducted by KVK for the farming community. He said that KVK, Barnala has demonstrated the model for wheat straw straining, by which
farmers can remove the dust from wheat straw easily and frequently, as dust create digestive problem in animals. The huge number of farmers and farm women, representative of line departments of State Government participated in the Sankalp Se Siddhi programme. A folder on scientific cultivation of Berseem was also released by the guests.
A number of technologies were displayed in stalls by KVK, Barnala & Tarn Taran, Different departments of GADVASU, Ludhiana, line departments of State Government, private companies and self-help groups participated. A farmer scientist interaction was also arranged to solve the problems of the farmers related to animals and agriculture. Two farmers were awarded for their best efforts in their respective fields viz. Strawberry cultivation and dairy farming. Mineral mixture, bypass fat and Uromin-lick were sold to the farmers. The programme was ended with vote of thanks by Dr. K.S.Matharu.
