Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Handiaya, Barnala organized a one day Workshop on “Action Plan 2017-18 of GADVASU’S KVK” on 13 June 2017. Dr. H.K. Verma, Director of Extension Education, GADVASU, Ludhiana inaugurated and chaired the workshop. He described the importance of extension system. Dr. P.S. Tanwar, Associate Director, KVK, Barnala delivered lecture on the working of KVK system in India. Dr. Tanwar also gave detailed information to plan and prepare On Farm Trail (OFT) and Front Line Demonstration (FLD) for KVK. Further, he presented the action plan for the year 2017-18 of KVK, Barnala. Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director, KVK, Tarn Taran presented the action plan of KVK Tarn Taran. Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director, KVK, Mohali also presented the action plan of KVK Mohali. Presentation on Front line demonstration and On Farm Trial were given by all the Assistant Professors of three KVK's to their respective discipline. Dr. H.K. Verma in his concluding remarks said that in future Directorate of Extension Education, GADVASU, Ludhiana will arrange such type of workshops, for strengthening the KVK system. Dr. Verma also visited the farm and Integrated Farming System which is under construction. All the technical staff of three KVK’s of GADVASU participated in this workshop. Dr. K.S. Matharu, Assistant Professor, Plant Protection extended vote of thanks to all the participants.
