Hands-on Training on Feed and Fodder Analysis

Objective
The Department of Animal Nutrition is going to organize a 5-day hands-on training on ‘Feed and Fodder Analysis’ which will include lectures and practicals on various aspects of analytical techniques in Animal Nutrition and feeding practices. The broad areas of training will include:

Importance of nutrition in animal production
2
Implications of poor quality feed ingredients, fodder and feed
3
Preparation and storage of samples for chemical analysis
4
Feed analysis: Moisture, Nitrogen and crude protein, Ether extract, Total ash, NDF, ADF, ADL, Calcium, Phosphorus, Sulphur, Urea
5
Silage  testing
6
Overview of feeding practices and technologies developed
 
Duration: Five days training starting from 17th–21th April, 2017
Course Fees: Rs. 3000/- (Rs Three thousands only) payable at the time of registration in the office of the Department.
Lodging and Boarding: Boarding facility on payment basis shall be available in the Kisan Hostel, GADVASU, Ludhiana.
Number of Participants: The maximum number of participants shall be 20.
Participants and Eligibility: Course is open for all Farmers/ Entrepreneurs

TA & DA of the participants will be borne by participants/sponsoring institutions/ organizations.
The participants will be selected on ‘first come first serve’ basis.
