8thYouth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University progressed to 4th day with competition held in literary events. Students expressed their feelings and expressions through their participation in events including Debate, Elocution, Extempore, Creative Writing, Poetry and Haas-Ras. In the morning session,
Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Ex-President Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana was chief guest.
Nidhi Sharma organizing secretary of festival said that in morning session Debate, Poetry, Extempore, Creative writing competitions were held. In the afternoon session there were competitions of Elocution and Haas-Ras. In all the competitions three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated alongwith affiliated college Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Amritsar. Students expressed their thoughts on current and important issues.

Dr. Satyavan RamPal, Director Student Welfare congratulated the winner students. He said that Youth Festival will enter in the more colourful and Musical phase as main stage items will be on floor from on November 13th at 10.00.am in open air theatre, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He said that Dr. AS Nanda, Vice-Chancellor will inaugurate youth festival and Mr. R. N. Dhoke, IPS, Commissioner of Police will be the Guest of Honour.
Dr. N K Sood, President, Dance Drama and Music Club said that on 13 November 2017, there will be competitions of Folk song, Solo Dance (Creative), Light Vocal and Group Songs (Indian & Patriotic) at Open Air Theatre of Punjab Agricultural University.
