Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Installation, On the Spot Painting and Rangoli Making Competitions. Dr. Amarjit Singh Nanda, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU was the chief guest for the day. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Student’s welfare told that youth festival refresh the minds of youngsters and provides an opportunity to them for showing their talent. In all the competitions, students from three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Amritsar and Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani and Baba Hira Das ji College of Veterinary Pharmacy, Badal participated.
Nidhi Sharma, organizing secretary of festival detailed that in first session total 20 students participated in Installation competition, 10 in On the Spot Painting and in second session 13 students in the Rangoli Making Competition. The topics for this competition in Installation were ‘Music for Life’ and ‘New Year' for the Rangoli Making Competition'.
In the afternoon session Dr. Sushil Prabhakar, Registrar, Dr. R. S. Brar, Librarian and Dr. B. K. Bansal, Director Livestock was graced the occasion as Chief Guest
Dr N K Sood, President, Dance Drama and Music Club informed that creative writing, Debate, Poetry and Extempore in first session at 09.00 a.m. While Elocution and Haas-Ras Competition in second session will be held on 12.11.2017 at Student Home, Punjab Agricultural University.
