Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the 2nd position among veterinary universities in India according to the NIRF 2024 rankings. This outstanding accomplishment was announced today
by the Ministry of Education at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, showcasing Vet Varsity's unwavering commitment to excellence in veterinary science, animal sciences, fisheries, poultry research and education.
The Varsity has not only excelled in its primary field but has also made significant strides in the broader agricultural category, ranking 24th among agricultural institutions. The university has demonstrated remarkable progress, with its overall score surging from 47.79 in 2023 to an impressive 50.50 in 2024 – a substantial 2.73-point increase. This improvement is particularly notable in key areas such as Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practices, and Graduation Outcomes.
