Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India launched ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ on 11th December, 2023 via video

Uppal, Dean Post Graduate Studies, Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science and Director Students’ Welfare, Dr. Y.P.S Malik, Dean College of Animal Biotechnology and Dr. Meera D Ansal, Dean College of Fisheries attended this event in the Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Dr Inderjeet Singh said that Viksit Bharat @2047 is a wonderful initiative as it is very important to get feedback in the form of innovative ideas from
the students. He mentioned that our youth is our future, and their involvement in the formulation of national plans and priorities will benefit our country. He encouraged the faculty and students of the various colleges of the University to participate in ‘Viksit Bharat @2047. Dr Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, informed that students and faculty from the university’s 
on-campus colleges as well as from College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul, and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar attended the live streaming session.
The various colleges of vet varsity will plan several activities during 11 to 25 December 2023. During these events, university faculty will encourage students via lectures to participate in Ideas4ViksitBharat. Students will also be encouraged to participate in the Social Media Campaigns and share their ideas on the vision of Viksit Bharat. In this period, workshops and seminars on Viksit Bharat, as well as an inter-section/ inter-class competition such as Debate/extempore competition among students on the theme Ideas4ViksitBharat will also be organized by the university.
