Vet Varsity Students on One-Month Training at the University of West Indies

In a remarkable opportunity for academic and cultural exchange, a group of five outstanding undergraduate students from the College of Veterinary Science (Ludhiana), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, are set to depart for a one-month exposure training program at the esteemed University of West Indies under Institutional Development Plan (IDP-NAHEP) project.  Before departure, the brilliant students had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science (Ludhiana) cum-Principal Investigator of the project to discuss their upcoming experiences. 
The five students were selected on the basis of their exceptional academic records, dedication to animal care, and enthusiasm for expanding their knowledge in an international setting. Their training program at the University of West Indies will allow them to delve into various aspects of veterinary medicine, gaining valuable insights and exposure to disease diagnosis and in their treatments. 
Dr. Inderjeet Singh applauded their dedication and encouraged them to make the most of this valuable learning experience, emphasizing the significance of global collaboration in advancing veterinary medicine. Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of international exposure in shaping future veterinary professionals and also motivated the students to keep the university’s flag high on the international platform. 
Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, expressed his pride in the students' selection for this prestigious opportunity, highlighting the significance of such international programs in fostering a well-rounded education. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and gaining exposure to diverse veterinary practices, which will undoubtedly contribute to the students' personal and professional growth. 
Dr. Devendra Pathak, Senior Scientist, who coordinated this training wished the students a fulfilling and enriching international training experience. 
The students expressed their gratitude for the support and encouragement they received from the university under the IDP project
