“One Day Workshop on Development of Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship among Agri-graduates” was organized by Directorate of Human Resource Management Centre (HRMC), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana in collaboration with ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad. The workshop was attended by 100 students of diverse fields including Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fisheries and Animal Biotechnology background.
The first guest lecture on “Communication skills” was delivered by Dr. Sumedha Bhandari, of Punjab Agricultural University. The lecture was focussed on understanding the problems faced by students while communicating with the various stakeholders. The second lecture on “Team work and Team building” was delivered by Dr. Bharti Madan, Deputy Director Information Technology, (PAMETI), Ludhiana. Dr. Bharti conducted different group activities which were meant to make the students understand the importance of team work and how we can build a perfect team by assigning duties as per the qualities/skills of the team members. Dr. L.M. Kathuria, Professor, School of Business Studies, PAU delivered lecture on “Innovations and Start Ups”. Dr. Prem Prakash Dubey, Scientist and Poultry Manager, GADVASU told about the various schemes started by Govt. of India which support various start ups
and give financial support. Dr. Nittin Dev Singh, Professor and Programme Director of the Workshop showed some motivational videos of various entrepreneurs.
Dr. L.D. Singla, Director HRMC, GADVASU thanked the esteemed speakers ICAR-NAARM (NAHEP Component) for providing the financial support for the workshop. He also thanked Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, GADVASU for providing motivation in carrying out such activities.
