College of Dairy Science and Technology, GADVASU, Ludhiana is organizing a week-long Students Skill Development Programme for the undergraduate students under the umbrella of Institutional Development Plan (IDP) which is being operational in Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU). Dr RS Sethi, Dean, CODST discussed the importance of soft skills in one’s career while inaugurating the event. He highlighted that these soft skills can be acquired with individual efforts and dedication and advised the students to be interactive with the experts during this proramme to take maximum advantage of it. He applauded the coordinators Dr Varinder Pal Singh, Dr S Siva Kumar and Dr Nitin S Wakchaure for their dedication and hard work in organizing the programme in a structured manner.
On the opening day, Mr Sanchit Jain, State Coordinator (Punjab and Chandigarh), Art of Living Programmes and Certified Corporate Trainer was the invited speaker. He delivered two soft skill lectures on the topics “Mantras for Success” and “Mind and Success” in a very interactive way. Dr Varinder Pal Singh extended the vote of thanks with special thanks to Dr SPS Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science-cum-Principal Investigator, IDP for providing all sorts of support and motivation for organizing this Skill Development programme. Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, congratulated the team of CODST for organizing this event and said that these skill development programmes inculcate soft skills among the students which go a long way in improving their overall personality.
