Various technical sessions were held on the second day of the International Conference of Animal Nutrition at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. Technical sessions on ruminant nutrition, fish nutrition, poultry nutrition, swine nutrition, fodder nutrition and processing technologies, etc. were organized wherein scientists from India and abroad participated and showcased their research outcomes.
Dr. Udeybir Singh, President, Animal Nutrition Society of India and HoD of Animal Nutrition, GADVASU stated that lead presentations were made on nano-minerals in dairy industry, precision dairy nutrition, nutritionally improved fodder for animals, nutrigenetics, importance of organic acids in animal nutrition and trends in canine nutrition. The research findings highlighted the contemporary advances in animal nutrition.
Dr. APS Sethi, Secretary, Animal Nutrition Society of India stated that a total of six technical sessions were conducted on the second day of the international conference in which a large number of scientists and students deliberated on various aspects of animal nutrition. He revealed that the outcomes of these technical sessions will prove to be handy in drafting future roadmaps in the sectoral domain of animal nutrition.
Dr. Parminder Singh, Organizing Secretary of the international conference informed that the General Body Meeting of the Animal Nutrition Society of India was also conducted on the second day of the conference which was attended by the office bearers and members of the society to address the concerns and decide the forthcoming policy and planning of the society
