Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana showcased different technologies during “Garib Kalyan Sammelan-cum- National Interaction program for Farmers”. It was on the occasion of Maize Day and organized by ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research at its new campus, Laddowal, Ludhiana.
Dr. Parminder Singh, Dr. Y.S. Jadoun and Dr. Amit Sharma represented GADVASU and demonstrated technologies and services of varsity during this grand event. Sh. Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs was the chief guest. He visited the GADVASU stall and praised the work done by the university for the farming community of the state and the country. A large number of 
farmers and media persons interacted with the university experts and appreciated the work of the varsity.
Farmers from the entire state participated and shared their views with the minister regarding benefits of various schemes of the central government in the state. A live virtual program of Garib Kalyan Sammelan was also telecasted during the event.
Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Extension Education appreciated the team members who participated and exhibited the university technologies in the national event.
