Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU), Patna accompanied by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana inaugurated the book exhibition at GADVASU. He motivated the University staff and students to utilize this opportunity to take full advantage of the book exhibition and procure maximum numbers of good books. They visited various stalls and showed keen interest in the latest editions of books on Veterinary Science, Animal Breeding, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science.
Dr. Digvijay Singh, University Librarian informed that ten leading book publishers and distributors are participating in this exhibition with a wide range of latest editions of books. This is the 9th book exhibition being organized by the GADVASU which is a regular feature since the inception of the university. Last two years the exhibition was not held due to COVID. Now this year with improvement in conditions, the book exhibition has been organized to promote and encourage its faculty members to develop their personal library by purchasing books. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the university have shown a great interest in the exhibition and visited different publisher’s stalls throughout the day.
Inauguration of the Book exhibition was also attended by Dr. S.P.S Ghuman, Dean, Veterinary College, Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Extension Education; Dr. S. Rampal, Director Student’s Welfare and Dr. Amarjit Singh, Comptroller, Dr. Ramneek, Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology, Dr. Meera D. Ansal, Dean, College of Fisheries. Heads of Departments of the constituent colleges of the university along with their faculty visited the exhibition and recommended the latest books for the procurement in the library.
