College of Veterinary Science (CoVS) , Rampura Phul, Bathinda has started various Certificate/Short courses from this year to enhance income generation of rural youth and farmers through inculcating Entrepreneurship development in livestock and poultry production. The latest technologies and skills on various aspect of animal husbandry will be imparted to trainees under different courses to enhance their income and to improve the sustainability of agriculture and animal husbandry production system.These certificate/short courses may also help the youths in seeking employment in India and abroad.
CoVS is a constituent college of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana having ‘state of art’ facilities for the training of veterinary graduates and para-professionals. It caters to the needs of the farmers from South-Western Punjab by providing clinical diagnosis and treatment facilities of small and large animal. It aims to disseminate scientific knowledge and skills to various stakeholders. From academic session of 2021-22, CoVS, Rampura Phul is going to start certificate courses on Artificial Insemination (AI) Technician (3 months), Veterinary Laboratory Techniques (6 weeks), Health Care and Management of Dogs (6 Weeks), Feed Processing Technology (6 weeks), Dairy Farming (6 weeks) and Backyard Poultry Farming (6 weeks). The interested candidates may join the courses by applying online and submitting the prescribed fee in the month of September, 2021.
