Prof Yashpal Singh Malik, Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, has been conferred upon prestigious Fellowship by the Academy of Microbiological Sciences (AMSc). Prof Malik has been appreciated for his outstanding contribution in several areas of Microbiology of both fundamental and applied values.
Prof Malik is a highly decorated scientist in the field of Animal Biotechnology working in the area of Host-Pathogen Interaction, Evolution and Epidemiology of Viruses. He has to his credit 7 books, and 227 scientific research articles in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor. He has been associated with many institutions of national and international repute including Managing Committee member of World Society for Virology (USA). He is serving as Secretary General of Indian Virological Society and also representing India as a member in One Health group in Federation of Asian Veterinary Association (FAVA) for 2021-2025. Widely travelled Prof Malik has represented India in the scientific arena and now he has been appropriately acknowledged by the AMI-AMSc by bestowing upon him this prestigious award.
