College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul organized first session of Health talk series under the patronage of Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor. The theme of the health talk was “Exploring and Understanding the COVID 19 Pandemic” with an aim to apprise society about various facts and fundamentals regarding the impact of this pandemic on society with special emphasis on pregnant, lactating women and children. Dr Chandrakant S Pandav. Padamshree Awardee, Iodine Man of India, world renowned community medicine man was the key speaker. Dr Inderjeet Singh, inaugurated the health talk series and also addressed the session by sharing his kind words of wisdom and emphasized on the role played by Veterinarians in diagnosis and vaccine development. He stressed on the one health concept and critically mentioned that there should be harmonization between the health of animal, plants, human beings and environment. He also congratulated the staff of College of Veterinary Science for organizing such an event. The faculty members, undergraduates, Post graduates and various dignitaries across India along with their families joined the session. This event was dedicated to Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations.Dr. Manish Kumar Chatli, Dean, COVS, Rampura Phul, welcomed the eminent guest speaker Vice Chancellor and participants. Dr. Pandav enlightened the participants with his vast knowledge and experience by replying questions on various aspects of COVID 19. He emphasized to use the word “Physical distancing” rather than social distancing. He praised GADVASU for organizing this unique and first of its kind event of interaction with students to educate them about this crisis. Dr. Amit Challana and Dr. Pallavi Khajuria handled the proceedings of the session. Question answer session was managed by Dr. Raushan Singh and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Mahesh. V. Chaudhari. Vice Chancellor appreciated the team efforts of COVS Rampura Phul.
