Gandiwind, Distt. Tarn Taran. Twenty livestock farmers participated in this awareness camp. Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director, KVK, Tarn Taran apprised farmers about best practices for good quality corn cob mixture silage making for feeding to the livestock. Best agronomic practices for realizing better yield and good quality of green fodder was shared with the farmers. Farmers were also guided to produce organic fodder production for saving the livestock from fodder toxicity. Furthermore, suggestions for management of livestock in summer season and clean milk production at dairy farms were also discussed. Sh. Kashmir Singh Deputy Director, Punjab Dairy Development Board, District Tarn Taran also addressed the farmers and told about different schemes of the government for livestock farmers. KVK and PDDB official team also visited few dairy farms in that area where farmers were urged to contact Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh for procuring mineral mixture, uromin lick, bypass-fat and other inputs at reasonable rates from KVK in this COVID-19 pandemic time.
