was chief guest on this occasion. Dr. P. S. Tanwar, welcomed chief guest, faculty members, farmers, farm women and highlighted activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He said that KVK is playing vital role for enhancing the income of farmers. He emphasised on 4 J i.e. Jal, Jameen, Jungle and Janwar and 1H i.e. Hawa. He told that by judicious use and proper management of these natural resources, we can sustain for long period. She motivated the farmers for not burning the stubble and give emphasis to incorporate the stubble in soil for better production and clean environment. Palak Chopping & Salad Decoration was conducted. Exhibitions of various Govt. and line Departments & Self Help Groups were arranged and showcased technologies and various products. A Kisan Goshti was organized and problems of farmers related to agriculture and livestock farming were also discussed. Line Departments of state Govt. of Punjab participated in the Kisan Mela and shared information on their Departmental activities. Lecture on value addition of milk, control of mastitis & brucellosis in dairy animals was delivered and scientists emphasised on timely vaccination deworming in animal to get more profit from dairy animals. Progressive farmers, farm women, innovative farmer in different fields, and member of Gram Panchayat who did not burn the stubble was awarded during the Kisan Mela.
