Cadets from 1 PB R &V SQN NCC Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana won 13 medals in Sultanpur Lodhi Horse Show, organised by Punjab Equestrian Association from 31st Oct to 2nd November. In this show, GADVASU riders competed with Punjab Armed Police , ITBP, Punjab Police, ASC, YPS Patiala and many more private horse club rider's.
Senior Under Officer Vikas Garg, a 5th yr BVsc & AH student of GADVASU won gold medal in preliminary show jumping team and silver medal in medley race. Senior Under Officer Gurarshbir Singh Bal won silver medal in preliminary dressage, silver medal in elementary dressage team and bronze medal in elementary dressage at horse show and senior state equestrian championship. Under officer Pawandeep Kaur won silver medal in 'ladies hacks'. Under officer Mehak Sharma won silver medal in 'Cadet Hacks'. Under Officer Shivam Sharma, Under Officer Satnam Singh won joint gold in 'Cadet Hacks', cadet Vikas Arora and cadet Abheet Aulakh won bronze medal in 'Cadet Hacks'. Ravinder Rana, riding coach said "winning is not everything but making the efforts to win is."
Dr Nitin Dev Singh, NCC incharge GADVASU said the team is really hard working despite of their professional degree they are pursuing their dream of riding horse and competing professionals. He further added that riders from the unit will also participate in Republic Day camp and will be the part of PM rally 2020.
