Monthly review meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and Regional Research and Training Centres (RRTCs) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was held at Directorate of Extension Education. The meeting was chaired by Dr. H.K. Verma, Director Extension Education. In this meeting, Head of the institutes (KVKs & RRTCs) and other Heads from Department of Veterinary Science Collage along with their team of scientists participated. Heads of KVKs/RRTCs presented brief review and progress report of preceding month and put light on Regional Agriculture and Pashu Palan Mela (RA&PPM), Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Crop Residue Management (CRM), Swacch Bharat Mission and progress made about other routine KVKs and RRTCs activities and action plan of the coming month. Problems prevalent in the field were discussed and it was decided to aggressively undertake CRM through trainings and other field activities, providing machinery to the farmers, educate the farmers through literature and modern ICT tools, involving local school and college students to this campaign to make it as a ‘Mass Awareness Movement’.
Dr. Verma advised all the heads of the centres to make available sufficient quantity of technological inputs and services at their sale counter viz; Mineral mixture, Bypass fat, Oral magnet, Uromin lick, Milk testing kit, Mastitis kit, Literature material and Magazine etc. for the farmers of their respective districts and the sale shops at all the centres should be fully functional.
