Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana GADVASU, is going to organise Youth Festival from 30th October 2018. The whole show will be organized from 30th Oct. to 15th Nov in two phases. While disseminating this information Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Student’s welfare told that our students are doing well in different extra-curricular activities at all India Agricultural & Veterinary Inter University fests and they have won a number of prizes and trophies in these events so we organise this festival to polish and develop their talent and skill. It will be the spring board for students to achieve the new heights. Dr. Rampal informed that to streamline all the functioning, committees have been formed and duties are allocated.
Nidhi Sharma, Organizing Secretary informed that in the first phase Photography, Poster making, Cartooning competitions will be on 30th Oct., Collage making and Clay Modeling on 31st Oct., On the Spot Painting, Installation and Rangoli Making on 01 Nov., Creative Writing, Debate, Elocution, Poetry and Hass-Ras on 02 Nov. IN the second phase Formal Inauguration, Folk Songs, Solo Dance, Light Vocal & Group Songs (Indian & Patriotic) on 13th Nov., Theater events like Mime, Quiz, Skit, Mimicry, One Act Play and Mono Acting will be on 14th Nov. On the final day of fest on 15th Nov. Gurbani Shabad Gayan/Bhajan (Solo), Classical Dance (Solo), Group Folk Dance/Tribal Dance (Male/Female) will be staged. She told that these co-curricular activities are an essential part of studentship so it is right of students to enjoy this flavour. She said that these festivals develop cordial relations in students whereas help to build confidence in them.
Dr. N K Sood, President Dance, Drama and Music Club informed that the whole fest will be conducted according to the notified rules of inter University competitions. The students are in Great Spirit and full of zeal to become the part of youth festival. They are devoting their extra time to prepare their events to stage it in exclusive manner he added. He hoped that the festival will deliver healthy, cheerful and colourful impressions to all the participants and spectators.
