Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to different undergraduate courses viz. Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H), Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.), B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) and B. Tech. (Biotechnology) programmes. Dr. Narinder Singh Sharma, Controller of Examinations revealed that a total of 2228 candidates applied for admission to these courses, of which 2092 (94%) candidates (1180 boys and 912 girls) appeared in the entrance test in two centers at R.S. Model Senior Secondary School and B.C.M. Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana.
Dean and Directors of the Varsity had the first hand information about the arrangements for smooth conduct of entrance test and visited the centers. Dr. Sushil Prabhakar, Registrar of the University informed that first counselling for B.V.Sc & A.H. is scheduled on July 18 whereas for B.F.Sc., B. Tech. (Biotechnology) and B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) on July 19 at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium, University Veterinary Hospital, opposite Nanaksar Gurudwara, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana.
The test was conducted for 69 seats of B.V.Sc. & A.H., 26 of B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science), 25 of B.Tech. (Biotechnology) and 37 of B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) for Ludhiana and 42 seats for Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. The result is likely to be declared in 3-4 days and will be available online at the university website (www.gadvasu.in).
