Scientists and postgraduate students of department of Veterinary Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana GADVASU, attended 32nd Annual convention of Indian Association of Veterinary Anatomists and national symposium on "Advances and Applications of Anatomy in Livestock, Pet, Poultry, Lab Animal and Wildlife Health and Production” held at College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Bhubaneshwar. Research papers presented by faculty members and students were judged the best at national level.
Ms. Kritima Kapoor, Ph.D Scholar of this department was awarded prestigious Young Scientist Award 2017 for her presentation entitled “Immunoexpression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF-A) in buffalo corpus luteum”. Paper presented by Dr Devendra Pathak, Assistant Scientist, was adjudged the best paper in Histoenzymology and Immunohistochemistry session and was also awarded the best paper award and medal in ultrastructure session. Dr Neelam Bansal, Professor, presented lead paper and chaired a session. Dr Varinder Uppal presented her research paper and acted as rapporteur in one of the sessions and was entrusted with the responsibility of Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Veterinary Anatomy. Dr. Opinder Singh, Head of the Department (Veterinary Anatomy), Dr. P S Brar, Dean, College of Veterinary Science and Dr J P S Gill, Director of Research congratulated the scientists and the students for their achievements.
